In so doing, Marshmallow prevents further damage to their own realm, and locks two forces of light and darkness in the ruins of the Dark World. They have done so, but not in the way everyone thought Marshmallow banished the Dark One back to the Dark World and, in the 'bad ending', allows Q-Pernikiss to go through the Dark Portal and close it. The prophecy states that only Marshmallow would be able to stop the Dark One and save both the Crush Crush/Blush Blush-universe and the Dark World, which is home to the cultures of Karma and Sutra, Luna and Eva. Of course, given that the Dark One now speaks ill of Pamu implies that whatever happened, they are now enemies. The Dark One may have either been tricked by Pamu or in a physical relationship with Pamu at one time the mark of Pamu's "magic wand" on her stomach could be symbolic of both. It was her misfortune that Marshmallow is not only a Destroyer, but also the Sexy Chosen One. From her perspective at the time, it may have seemed that a fellow Destroyer was reaching into her realm a potential peer, possibly a friend or lover. She mentions boredom and a fear of loneliness driving her insane, and suddenly some force tore a hole right into the Dark World. The Dark One may not be lying when she says she came through the dark portal in search of love. Pamu, on the other hand, is nothing if not spiteful. The mark of her "magic wand" on the Dark One's body may be a sign of influence, even control, and the Dark One herself does not actually seem to be especially motivated to destroy anything. Even if the lustocalypse would not have physically destroyed them, it would have been seen as the ruin of their culture and stripping life of what gives it meaning.Īlternatively, Pamu may be the one who started the Dark One off on destroying the Dark World. Pamu attacking Karma's and Sutra's people seems a bit strange at first, since theirs is a sex-positive culture their being love-positive, combined with Pamu's feud with Q-Piddy, may imply that Pamu triggering the lustocalypse to eradicate love and replace it with lust is the event Sutra references. It's anyone's guess how many people actually (ae able to) use them, however. Stats already appear to have been a familiar phenomenon, but thanks to Q-Piddy endowing Marshmallow with the power to manipulate time and Marshmallow becoming a famous driving force behind the economy, time blocks are now also a known phenomenon. In Crush Crush, characters comment on the impossibility of their schedule by Blush Blush, characters like Boss are now familiar with the concept of time blocks. Marshmallow may have altered their world. Either Marshmallow and the Girls have become so famous that they have dedicated fans who cosplay as them, or - depending on how much time has passed between Crush Crush and Blush Blush - they're Marshmallow's daughters with the Girls. The chibis sporting the wardrobe and hairdos of the Girls in Blush Blush may not be the Girls. Is it possible that they 'crushed' their health and happiness, maybe even their presumably at least middle-class family, sometime before the game? Marshmallow's first in-game appearance is an ugly, unkempt bum living in a tent in the park. Renée mentions Marshmallow was already crushing things when they were kids. If they're at all worth keeping around, please let me know.ĭrake's dialogue, which includes his fear of being held back two years in a row and the existence of a new House Brave Beavers after Vellatrix murdered the old one during her run in Crush Crush, suggests a time interval of three to seven years between the events of Crush Crush and Blush Blush. I hope this is not seen as vandalism, as that most certainly wasn't my intention. You've probably seen some of my speculations out and about.
